This event will take place on Sunday 7th June at 2.30pm
Acclaimed BMX artist Nao Yoshida brings his groundbreaking “RIDRAWING” technique to StolenSpace Gallery.
An artist that is currently exhibiting within our group show 'Urban Perspectives', this is an immersive event alongside our exhibition. Transforming BMX riding into live art, using paint-covered tyres as brushes to create a one-of-a-kind canvas performance in real time.
After building his career through championship BMX competitions in Japan and performing for over 1.5 million people on global tours with Cirque du Soleil, Nao now pushes the boundaries between movement, music and visual expression.
Following the live performance, attendees will be invited to step into the creative process themselves, using the remaining paint from Nao’s BMX tires to produce their own postcard-sized artwork to take away.
Attendance at the live performance is free, with workshop participation available for £5 per person. For the workshop element, tickets can be purchased in advance or upon arrival.
This event is part of our Urban Perspectives exhibition, open until 14th June.
